Chapter eleven

Together: groups, events, polls and chat

The Together tab is for everything the guild does as a guild outside raid night: finding a group, turning up for events, deciding things, and catching up on what was said while you were away.

Find a group

Together > Groups: post "Stratholme, need a tank and a healer" with the roles you need. Every guildmate online sees it, with a pop-up if they like. Join asks you, and your Warchest invites them. The group closes when it's full, when you close it, or after an hour. /wc lfg Stratholme need healer posts one from chat.

Events

Officers schedule dungeon nights, PvP nights, socials and farming runs, with a time, a note and an optional number of places. Members sign up In, Tentative or Out and get a reminder 15 minutes before. Officers Invite everyone signed up who is online in one click, and Manage edits an event, closes or reopens its sign-ups, announces it or deletes it.

Contests

A contest counts one of your Stats over its days (jumps, quests, bosses, dungeons, gold earned, epics, hugs...) and ranks the guild live. Officers post the winners when it ends. Just play.

Together tab, Polls page: an open poll with vote bars and a past poll with its results

    Polls

Officers ask a question with 2 to 8 answers (one per line, + Add answer for more), choose whether people may pick several, whether it's anonymous, and how long it stays open. Everyone is told once. Click Vote next to an answer; click another to change your mind.

    • One vote per player: your main and alts count once.
    • Results are live; anonymous polls don't show who voted for what.
    • Past polls keep their results, so the guild can look back at what was decided.
    • Officers Manage a poll: edit it (votes stay with the answer in the same place), post it or its results in guild chat, close it early or reopen it, or delete it.

    In guild chat

[Guild] [Aria]: [Warchest] Poll results: Loot rules for Blackwing Lair? Soft reserves (2 each) 13 · Loot points 6 · Loot council 2 (21 voted)
[Guild] [Aria]: [Warchest] Contest: Jump-off weekend, Sat 18 Oct 12:00 · most jumps. Sign up in Warchest (Together > Events).
Your vote is yoursVotes and sign-ups travel in each player's own data, like everything else they share, so nobody can vote or sign up for someone else.
Together tab, Chat page: guild chat from the last two days, with day headings, a marker where new lines start and a line that mentions you highlighted

      Chat history

Together > Chat (or /wc chat) keeps guild chat and officer chat for 5 days, up to 2,000 lines each. Your Warchest records what your character sees while you're online. When you log in, it asks guildmates who are online for the lines since you logged out, one after another (up to three), each sending only what you're still missing, so the conversation you missed is waiting for you.

      • On by default. Guild chat catch-ups go to every rank that may use Warchest, officer chat to the ranks with officer tools; the Guild Master always gets them. Officers can change the ranks per channel with Who can see, turn a channel off, or go back to the default. Officer chat history only ever goes to the ranks chosen for it, and both ends check. Everyone can always read back what they saw themselves.
      • While you were away. After logging in, one line tells you how many messages you missed and how many mention you. Mentions are highlighted, and a marker shows where the new lines start.
      • Search. The search box finds words and names in the history.
      • Don't share my lines. Anyone can keep their own lines out of catch-ups. Guildmates online still see them live, as always.

      When you log in

Warchest: while you were away: 18 guild messages and 4 officer messages (1 mentioning you). Together > Chat.
Plain text onlyLines are kept as plain text: item links become [Item Name]. Chat the game hides from add-ons is skipped. Catching up needs a guildmate with Warchest online. /wc chat status shows what the game delivered this session.
